DEMO OFFICIAL : WATCH OUT FOR “ELECTRIC”

Posted by: on Mar 28, 2012 | No Comments

Demo Official is an 18 Year old grime artist/rapper/singer/songwriter from Harrow, North-West London currently managed by Blastbeat International. We caught up with him on his current single and music career so far…

You’ve been writing lyrics since the impressive age of 11. What first influenced you to do this?

My love of writing began from a young age as I always enjoyed English literature  at school; I enjoyed writing poems and casually making rhymes. I then started rhyming to a beat and that’s when my rapping began. When I first heard Eminem that’s what inspired me to make music; he stuck out from the other rappers and he influenced me to do the same.

How would you describe your music style?

My music style is mainly rap, but when someone asks me what type of music I make I always say ‘I make anything that sounds good’.

What was it like supporting N-Dubz?

Supporting N-Dubz has been the highlight of my career so far. When performing on the same stage as people like them, Skepta, Peter Andre and more, it made me more determined as an artist and showed me where I could be if I put the work in.

If you could collaborate with any artist who would it be and why?

I would love to collaborate with a lot of artists but Tinie Tempah in particular. He has a unique sound and is extremely talented- not only on tracks but on stage as well. He brings a mad amount of energy to his music and I believe collaboration with him would be immense.

Tell us about your current single ‘Go hard Or Go Home’ (see below).

“Go hard Or Go Home” is a remake of the Will.I.Am and J-Lo track with my own personal twist. It’s really just  a giveaway track to keep the supporters entertained and give them something to listen to before my first single ‘Electric’ drops.

What’s next for Demo Official? Where can we see you perform?

My next move is to collaborate alongside other artists to widen my fanbase and officially drop ‘Electric’, my first single, which Television and BBC Asian network should be supporting. You can catch me performing on tour later on this year alongside artists from Blastbeat, my management.
