Scandi Girl 6Although summer is drawing to a close the festival season is hotting up and the British weather is too for the first time all year… With V festival the weekend just gone, Reading and Leeds fest the weekend coming and the almighty Bestival at the beginning of September AND Glastonbury 2013 tickets go on sale in a matter of weeks- to say that here at Gossipdrip we have major festival fever is a slight understatement!

So, it seems only fitting that we make sure you are best equipped to be practical yet fashionable when you’re living in the great outdoors for a few days. Festivals are a great place to experiment with fashion as it seems like anything goes! Here are the three fashion items you need with you when living it up in the fields and tents from dusk til dawn…

Grunge girl outerwear

Kate Moss, ícone de estilo e beleza dos anos 90                                                      Even though the sunshine has made a reappearance you are still going to need a jacket of some sort- if you’re a true British festival-goer you’ll be fully aware that there is always a risk of rain. Also, the nights get chilly no matter how warm the day has been. Stay on trend and go grunge with a parka or camo jacket- your A/W wardrobe needs army print. Think Kate Moss circa 1990…

 Sensible Shoes

hunters :)                                                    We all know that the trusty wellington boot is a festival wardrobe staple but if the sun appears you won’t necessarily need them- also you want be comfy wearing them constantly for 3 to 5 days. By all means you should always take your wellies. However, even if the mud is staved off by sun rays I wouldn’t suggest taking sandal- lots of crowds, lots of litter on the floor= dirty feet. Instead opt for a very sensible second shoe alternative to your wellie boots! We’re talking chunky lace-ups, ankle boots and creepers.

Daisy Duke Denims

A savvy purchase for any festival goer- and I’m sure you already have a pair or two in your wardrobe. They look cool, are easy to wear and go with anything. If shorts aren’t for you opt for a denim pinafore or dungarees for a true festival chic look. Colourful, standard, acid wash, printed, embellished…so much to choose from!
