‘Girl Power’ returns

If you are a child of the late 80’s or early 90s, the Spice Girls were a big deal. Posh, Baby, Sporty, Scary and Ginger were a worldwide phenomenon.

Most girls took fashion inspiration from at least one Spice. Come on, with highlights such as Adidas tracksuit’s to black Prada mini’s, they defined 90s pop fashion.

And following months of speculation whether or not they would join forces again, all five member got together in London this week to announce details of a West End musical based on their songs.

“Viva Forever!”, written by British comedian Jennifer Saunders and produced by “Mamma Mia!” mastermind Judy Craymer, opens at the Piccadilly Theatre in London’s West End on December 11.

For the press conference the girls returned to where it all began, the hotel where the group famously filmed their Wannabe video. They looked a little different from the 16 years previous.
