Manchester School of Arts fashion graduates showcased their collections at Graduate Fashion Week.

The Northern fashion school has a list of successful graduates; some of which have gone on win awards such as the British Fashion Council Mulberry, The Karen Millen portfolio award and the River Island Gold Award.

It was an incredible treat. The show was bursting with a huge array of collections with filled with everything from dainty spring time dresses to winter fur collections.

Prints and colour blocks were prominent throughout the show as most collections carried either of these trends.

What also stood out in this show was one of the make up looks. It was cool winter/early spring making it bang on trend. It was full of neutral eyes, coral lips and rosy cheeks and was one of the favourites of the day

We managed to speak to a one of  the designers from the show, Naomi Nwabueze.

Naomi said that her collection was inspired by  modern architecture. As well as being inspired by the pretty churches she saw when she was on an internship with Oswald Botang. There are a lot of net shapes.

Naomi described her collection as ‘Minimal,Luxury and Contrasting textures’.

Menswear was also a big part of the show. The menswear collections were a mix of suit wear to everyday lounge wear.

Over all the show boasted a range of talent and was received with huge applause by the audience.
