Liberty x Nike: Sportswear Just Became Fabulous

With the Olympics edging nearer and nearer, London is the place to be and the sportsperson in us Brits is beginning to come out.    But how do you stay chic when working out? Liberty has the answer.  It has recently launched a capsule collection of sportswear together with the iconic brand, Nike.

The Liberty x Nike collection includes practical gym wear (shorts, hoodies and vest tops) in red, grey and charcoal each with a classic Liberty print trim, to add that little bit of luxury. Beautiful silk tie dye sweats are also part of this collection, which in my opinion are much too nice to do exercise in but are perfect for that ‘après- work out’ look when teamed with a relaxed pair of sweatpants or leggings.

The real gems of the collection are the trainers, however.  Some of them are suitable for exercising in, but others are just great for everyday.  The high tops are just too cool, and the unusual fusion of such timeless and vibrant Liberty prints together with the current look of the Nike high top works SO well together.  My personal favourite is the Imperial Purple Liberty Print Hyperclave High Top Trainer (£75)However if you’re feeling really daring (or if flat shoes just go against your style ethic), the Red Liberty Print Dunk Sky Hi Sport Trainer (£95), which has a wedge heel incorporated into the high top is the pair for you.

The collection will soon be available in selected Nike stores and some of the trainers are already available in Office.  You can also shop the collection at www.liberty.co.uk.
