REVIEW: Star Trek Into Darkness

One of the year’s most eagerly anticipated films came to cinemas this month, and Gossipdrip is here to tell you whether it’s worth a watch.

Star Trek Into Darkness takes off where the first Star Trek finished. Captain Kirk, played by the incredible Chris Pine, leads a new ship on adventures.

We don’t want to give too much away but expect deadly enemies, friendships and shooting lasers, all whilst trying to keep alive aboard the US Enterprise.

J.J Abraham has done a great job with directing this film, from the visual effects to the portrayal of the plot.

Casting Benedict Cumberbatch to play the ultimate evil super-genius was a clever and wise move. His acting was on point and most certainly fit the role well.

As always, Chris Pine took to reprising his role as Captain Kirk, delivering the exact amount of sensitivity and humor in his acting that was needed to play the part.

This isn’t a typical science fiction film, despite what some may expect, and is a must see for all Star Trek and non-Star Trek fans alike.
