The BRITs 2013: red carpet round up

Singers and stars hit the O2 Arena last night for the annual BRIT awards, braving the chilly London air to show off their amazing (and some not so amazing) outfits!

Jessie J stunned photographers and fashion reporters alike with a gorgeous, plunging black maxi dress by Versace with simple, fresh make up and sleek hair. It was a far cry from the loud prints and crops she wears on stage with a statement lip!

Delilah and Jessie Ware both upped the style stakes too, with the Love You So singer wearing a sleeved high-neck Michael Kors dress with peek-a-boo bust detail, and Best Female nominee, Ware, flashing some flesh in a cropped Miu Miu top with gold embellishment.

In keeping with the black trend, Taylor Swift also looked faultless with her eyelash-skimming fringe, sultry make-up and thigh-revealing Elie Saab dress.

My favourite of the night had to go to Jourdan Dunn. ‘Phresh off the runway’ from attending Rihanna’s debut fashion collection last week at LFW, she worse the tinsiest lemon-yellow embellished Balmain dress with a sexy off-the-shoulder cut. We want.

Little Mix also killed it with their outfit choices. Perrie colour coordinated with her soft pastel-lilac hair with a skater dress and flower headband, Jessy looked stunning in a linear-patterened strap bodycon number, Leigh-Anne dressed up her Rihanna-style up-do with hairtie and a deep ‘V’ white maxi dress and Jade kept it cute with a bow and ruffle-trimmed embellished dress. They all kept it real with some KGs on their feet too!

One of the ‘miss’es of the night, unfortunately went to Gemma Arterton with a very strange choice of sequin dress from Jonathan Saunders’ SS13 collection. It looked like a festive cardi-and-skirt combo: not for the BRITs, sorry Gemma!

Rita Ora’s salmon-coloured satin Ulyana Sergeenko couture gown looked a little off compared to her usual trend-setting style (and we do blame the camera flashes for making the colour look like an ’80s prom dress!) But the Roc Nation gal did redeem herself with an Angelina-esqué split-skirt sequin gown with gold halter-collar detail. Very slick.

Jaime Winstone’s bright printed dress from Jeremy Scott also has us a bit unsure: we love the colours, but the gold sequin bag, pumps and pendulum, dangly earrings are all very.. loud.
