X Factor round-up: James Arthur’s broken record and Christopher Maloney’s diva strop!

After winning this year’s X Factor on Sunday, James Arthur has broken records with his winner’s single, Impossible, with it being the fastest-selling winner’s single in the show’s history.

His cover of Shontelle’s song has sold over 255,000 copies already, with it not even being a week since the competition.

James Arthur has also hit back at critics of the talent show, insisting that the show is not in need of a “revamp”, calling this year’s competition a “game changer” due to the emergence of singer-songwriters like Lucy Spraggan, Ella Henderson and Kye, rather than an abundance of novelty acts.

The contest’s third runner-up Christopher Maloney has also nabbed headlines with his apparent diva behaviour during the finals of the show: apparently arriving drunk to rehearsals and being abusive to a fellow contestant…whoah!

The bosses of the X Factor tour have now confirmed that he will take part in the tour, despite the trending topic on Twitter, #getkyeonthexfactortour, suggesting that ex-contestant Kye Sones would be replacing him.

What do you think? Did you think the right singer won? What do you think about Maloney’s behaviour? Should Kye replace him, or should it be someone else entirely? Let us know in the comments below!
