When Parisian couture house Carven recently took on designer Guillaume Henry nobody ever guess what a huge success it would be! His fresh new take on the label created a collection of warm colours, diversity in fabrics; from silks to leathers, and exciting use of creative yet simple cuts. The label reinvented itself as and affordable ready-to wear luxury label, which was a risky move for its owners however the new quirky chic look had sold out in all major retailers that is selling the collection.

It was not only in store that buyers went crazy for the new collection its a huge success online too. MY-WARDROBE.COM’s buying and merchandising director said  “The fastest-selling items have been the red silk drawstring waist dress, the map print dress and particularly the Robert Clergerie Z Line lace-up raffia shoes, which sold out in 24 hours”

The use of colour in the collection is said to be the main appeal, there is a good balance between sexy and sweet in a very french way making the collection very modern and oh so desirable. The thought to the huge success is not the label but the designer himself, he has been compared to a young Yves Saint Laurent. and it has had injected a new needed life into the Carven brand.
