Molly Richard was proudly chosen by Gossipdrip as March’s COTM. A freelancer and intern, Molly has written a number of successful posts for the website, highlighting her undoubted passion for celebrity journalism.

How has your Gossipdrip writing experience been so far?

Gossipdrip has been essential in providing me with exposure while I start my career, and has amazingly been enough so that I can contribute articles when it suits me. There isn’t strict guidance with writing style, so Zara is brilliant in allowing her contributors to write with their own individual flair.

Have you always had a passion for celebrity gossip?

My university classmates joked that I should have taken a degree in showbiz news. I’m not sure if it’s actually just nosiness, but I’ve always loved scandalous celebrity stories and finding out how the other half really live.

What would be your ideal job in journalism?

Entertainment Director or Celebrity Editor for ELLE magazine. Ideally my target is to establish myself so well as a freelance journalist that I can contribute to a variety of magazines, so it always stays new and different.

Why do you think you’d make a perfect candidate for that job?

I think to know I have passion and drive, and a commitment to any experience I can gain at this early stage is how I know I’d be a perfect candidate. To become the perfect candidate you have to start from the bottom; it’s tough but if you survive then you can do anything.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?

In Los Angeles or New York, maybe London. Established as a successful journalist, riding a bicycle with a basket on the front in the sunshine and living in a loft apartment.
