Movie legend Dustin Hoffman aided a man who was stricken with a heart attack, in London’s Hyde Park.

Sam Dempster was out jogging when he started experiencing a heart attack. Dustin Hoffman saw the gentleman go down on the pavement on a morning walk through the city, and rushed to his aid whist waiting for an ambulance.

On their arrival, the 76 year old actor explained to the paramedics exactly what he had witnessed, something crucial for the ambulance team. He then waited with the stricken lawyer until he was resuscitated and rushed to hospital.

The lawyer underwent life saving surgery, a similar procedure which Bolton Wanderers star Fabrice Muamba underwent after collapsing on the football pitch during a live game.

Sam, 27, who is now recovering in hospital, stated on his blog: “I want to say ‘Thank you’ to Dustin Hoffman. He saved my life.”
