It was meant to be the biggest moment of their lives, but Richard and Adam’s much anticipated performance was overshadowed when Natalie Holt emerged from the orchestra and started throwing eggs towards the judges table.

In what has been the most scandalous and controversial scenes of the whole series, the 30 year- old was dragged off stage after ruining Simon Cowell’s jacket.

Richard and Adam professionally carried on singing and were praised for their composure as they competed in the live final, which was eventually won by Hungarian shadow dancers Attraction.

Now, Natalie has step forward and apologised for her actions and has also confessed why she did what she did. Talking to The Sun she said: “I took a stand against people miming on television and against Simon and his dreadful influence on the music industry.”

But it seems that Natalie’s grudge doesn’t end there as it’s emerged that she has previously auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent and got rejected. The viola player and her string quartet Raven failed to impress the judges last year.

Although Natalie has apologised to Richard and Adam saying “I want to apologise to Richard and Adam for overshadowing their performance. I’ve never done anything like this before and in hindsight I have realised it was a silly thing to do”, her actions known as ‘egg gate’ still overshadowed the whole show.

Attraction’s lead dancer Zoltan Szucs had said of her “I read the stories in the newspapers and I saw she was all of it. Just one line was Attraction. She is a stupid girl.”
