A spokesman for the girls denies the rumour that Chasing The Saturdays has been axed due to poor ratings

It’s all a bit of a mystery at the moment surrounding the news that The Saturdays debut reality TV show has been panned due to poor viewing figures.

The show, first aired by E! In January, follows the girls as they try to make it big in America.

Apparently the show fell to just 100,000 viewers and a source has said: “It got killed in the ratings. US fans like drama and conflict but The Saturdays actually liked each other,”

However, following the furore, a spokesman for the girls has come forward and has denied that Chasing The Saturdays is up for the chop. They said: “Chasing The Saturdays was originally only commissioned for one season. The show has since been picked up by 46 territories around the world. The head of E! is coming into the UK next week to discuss a Christmas special.”

Well, whatever the truth is, it seems that some of the girls will no doubt have other things to contend with. With Rochelle’s baby due any day now and Frankie enjoying the first flushes of pregnancy, we’re sure that the girls won’t be too fussed!
