After suffering from acute morning sickness, the Duchess of Cambridge made a miraculous recovery to present Bradley Wiggins with the Sports Personality of the Year award.

Just weeks ago the Duchess was laid up in hospital suffering from acute morning sickness, known as hyperemesis gravidarum, but last night Kate looked as fit as a fiddle in her first public appearance since announcing her pregnancy.

Looking stunning in a bottle green gown by Alexander McQueen, the royal (who is a Team GB Ambassador) was all smiles as she presented the lifetime achievement award to Lord Coe, the runner up SPOTY prize to Jessica Ennis and the main accolade to cyclist Bradley Wiggins.

The Duchess was seen chatting to Olympic champion Jessica Ennis and having a laugh with David Beckham- lucky her!

It is said Kate only stayed at the event for around 45 minutes before returning home to recuperate. Her husband, Prince William, was not by her side as he had to return to Anglesey in North Wales where he is on duty as an RAF Search and Rescue pilot.

There didn’t appear to signs of the baby bump just yet, but when she does, were sure that she’ll look fabulous regardless!
