MARNI COLLABORATES WITH H&M IN A REJUVENATION OF SIXTIES STYLE

With another successful capsule collection, H & M are bringing some spring/summer glamour to the High Street in their recent collaboration with Marni.  The collection boasts a number of vibrant pieces, from jewellery and scarves to swing dresses and relaxed-fit trousers.

The collection focuses on colour and pattern, with a statement geometric circle print running throughout the collection. However, there are two levels to the clothes.  There are pieces in blocked together acid colours and others that stick to a more muted colour palette, focusing more on the eye-catching print rather than in- your- face colour.

The use of flowing fabrics and of colour and print in this fresh new range reminded me a lot of the sixties psychedelic style.  It is effortless glamour and for once it is a collection that gives the consumer a choice!  With both maxi and mini dresses, printed trousers and loose but chic tops, we can decide for ourselves which part of this collection we want to adopt.

There is something for everyone. For the brave fashionistas there is the metallic paisley trouser and blouse combination and equally for those with a slightly ‘safer’ style there are the simpler boho summer dresses. Get to H&M as soon as possible as these pieces will sell out fast!
