That’s right, the biggest name in rap has finally graduated from High School– 11 years after dropping out!

The Take Care rapper tweeted yesterday that he is now a high school graduate after completing the final credits he needed to finish his diploma. Drake, known to classmates in his schooldays as Aubrey Graham, took to twitter to reveal how thrilled he was, exclaiming: “97% on my final exam. 88% in the course. One of the greatest feelings in my entire life. As of tonight I have graduated high school!”

Drake dropped out of his Canadian high school back in 2001 to pursue an acting role in a Canadian teen show Degrassi: The Next Generation. His stint as a long-running character lasted until 2009– incidentally coming out with his debut record So Far Gone with breakout hit Best I Ever Had the very same year.

The 25-year-old took a break from his summer tour to complete his education at Vaughan Road Academy in Ontario, and praised one teacher in particular for helping him with his studies via Twitter: “Thank you to my teacher Kim Janzen for spending the last 5 months working tirelessly with me!!”

Awww, congrats Drizzy!
