The New Kerry Katona

Kerry Katona strikes again, and this time for the right reason. The mum of four is one of the most controversial female figures in Britian due to her rollercoaster past consisting of failed relationships and drug addiction. But last Thursday’s final of Celebrity Big Brother can only be described as a revival. As Kerry explained to Celebrity Big Brother host Brian Dowling, ‘once you walk through those doors you put your past behind you’, and she most certainly did, capturing the hearts of the nation with her emotional episodes regarding her greatly missed children and with her infectuous laugh. Without a doubt, Kerry‘s behaviour and attitude in the house celebrated the single mother, the reformed drug addict and the strong, independant woman.

Kerry’s experience as a reality star is by no means new; she beat Katie Price and Peter Andre in I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004 in becoming Queen of the Jungle and has also appeared on Dancing On Ice, but her Big Brother experience has proved to be of a far more prolonged and sentimental value. As she explained to Brian in her eviction interview, Kerry’s ability to shine in the Big Brother house and become runner up has enabled her to forgive herself from her previous mistakes and move on, towards a hopeful and happy future for her family.

This is a new beginning for Kerry Katona, and judging by her undoubtedly genuine reaction to the crowd last Thursday, with tears in her eyes and a shaking torso, a new perspective of the ex-Atomic Kitten star by the UK public.
