With incessant reports of wedding dress designers, heart-wrenching photos and mentions of enviable party favours, I’ll give you the run down of the lavish and romantic details of these September weddings!

Man and wife: Holly Valance tied the knot with her billionaire beau Nick Candy in Beverly Hills on Saturday

Holly Valance and Nick Candy

‘Kiss Kiss’ songstress and ex-‘Neighbours’ star Holly Valance wedded her billionaire property developer beau Nick Candy this weekend in Beverly Hills.

Nick popped the question to Holly in December whilst the couple were holidaying in the Maldives for Christmas.

Holly wore a gorgeously sumptuous white gown by J’Aton Couture which with a full, meringue style skirt resembling feathers and a bodice-like top. The look was topped off with an exaggerated vintage lace veil which also acted as a train and a dramatic, dark red bouquet. The groom looked incredibly suave in a tuxedo by Dolce and Gabanna.

300 members of friends and family attended the outdoor ceremony in California (including Simon Cowell!) with slick black mini buses and Rolls Royce vehicles carrying the wedding parties around.

The three-day nuptials reportedly consisted of a rehearsal dinner in Malibu Friday Night, the ceremony and reception on Saturday and an informal ‘recovery’ barbeque on Sunday to reconvene with guests before jetting off on honeymoon– sounds like our kind of wedding!

Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty

Our favourite Brit-American couple secretly tied the knot this weekend in Rome with their close family and friends present.

Details and photos of the event haven’t been circulated, but the rare wedding picture reported by the media shows the pair looking happy as they enjoy a celebratory drink at their wedding reception.

Congrats Cat and Pat!

Jared Followill  and Martha Patterson

The 25 year old bass guitarist from Kings of Leon married model Martha, 21, at a private ceremony in Tennessee this weekend.

The family-orientated event was kept down-to-earth with a beautiful firework display and a five-tier strawberry cream cake! Using the same wedding planner as bandmate and brother Caleb, the couple ensured some memorable details on their drink menu, including “The Firefly,” which was made with sweet tea, vodka, and fresh lemonade, and the “Champagne Cocktail,” with sweet cube and aromatic bitters.

The young couple enjoyed their first dance to Carrie Underwood’s “Mama’s Song”, and even got the guests to join in a line dance! The happy couple both tweeted of their wedded bliss that day, with Jared writing, ‘Aaaaaand I’m married. Happiest man in the world,’ following Matha’s tweet of: Marrying my best friend today. I’m the luckiest girl in the world. :)’ AWW!

And if that doesn’t spread the love enough, each guest got to take home a favour of a jar full of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies!

Was our invite in the post then, Jared?

Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman

Pulling out all the stops: The pair married in front of 100 guests with decor at the ceremony and reception inspired by natureThe Catwoman actress married her long-term beau after a one year engagement this weekend.

The couple reportedly tied the knot in Big Sur, California, after hiring the same wedding planner as Natalie Portman to arrange the big day!

Valentino confirmed he had designed Hathaway’s dress for her nuptials, which looks flowing and ethereal in an off-shoulder gown with embellished tulle skirt, flowing veil and wrapped headdress– very vintage-inspired!

The bride wore a dress designed by Valentino, after the designer recently confirmed he would be in charge of creating her gown, while the groom dressed in a dapper tuxedo.

The ceremony was a traditional Jewish affair (just like Portman’s wedding) in the breath-taking setting of the Big Sur running alongside the Pacific Ocean.

Anne had originally claimed the wedding would not take place until 2013 because of her work commitments, which of course had shunned away much speculation to ensure the privacy of the affair.

All of us at GD wish our Septmeber newly weds the best in their new lives together!
